Before it became normal
Isolation, social distance, solitude are all concepts that have found public resonance in all the news and have become part of the language of our daily life. Photos of empty streets, people far apart, alone on the street or forced to look at the world from their window, have become extremely common. I have soon realized that this was not new to me. I have spent a lot of time in the last year at home looking for a new job. I think I was living in a sort of self-isolation without even realizing it. And I think this has led me to notice situations similar to my mood when I was walking on the streets. Although all these photos were taken before the lockdown due to Covid19, they represent the state of solitude and isolation that today a large part of the population had to face and which they had to learn to live with. The reality is that there were many people who lived in this state before and who will continue to feel this way, even when everything returns to "normal".
